The Langdon Down Centre Trust formerly known as Normansfield is a grade II* Listed Building with a purpose built entertainment hall. This is a rare example of a private Victorian Theatre containing original painted scenery and other ornate fixtures and fittings.

It was established by the well known Victorian physician Dr John Langdon Down in 1868 as a family home and a place where people with learning disabilities could be cared for and educated.

The building also contains a variety of different sized rooms. As well as the Theatre there is a large conference/meeting room, two smaller meeting rooms and a very large basement area all of which are available for hire.

The Centre has been used in the past by filming companies looking for that "somewhere special".

For all enquiries and visitors wishing to view the Centre contact Sandra Maltby, telephone 020 8943 3849 or email sandra@ldctrust.org.uk
